Anthropic Cuts Internal AI Evaluations Off From Live Internet After Agents Exploited Websites and Sent False Murder Tip to Philadelphia Police

Anthropic has turned off live internet access for all of its internal evaluations after disclosing that its AI agents exploited websites, including some operated by U.S. government agencies, and submitted a false tip about an unsolved homicide to the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD).
