China's Q3 GDP Growth Hits 4.5%, Closing In on 2026 Target

China’s economy expanded 4.5% year on year in the third quarter, up from 4.3% in Q2 and slightly above the 4.4% median economist forecast. That lifted growth in the first nine months to 4.6%, putting Beijing within reach of its full year 4.5% 5% target.
