Insect-induced defoliation threatens grapevine health and yield, yet severity assessment relies on subjective manual scouting. We developed DefoliationCAM (D-CAM), a solar-powered edge AI system that estimates canopy defoliation and transmits results via LoRa to a web dashboard.
