Reflection AI Opens a New Front in the Model Race

Reflection AI has released Beam, its first open-weight model. The company says it is built for coding, reasoning, and AI agents, and that it can do the work with less computing power than some leading rivals. Beam is a large model, but it uses a smaller active part of itself for each request.
